France’s Embassy in Pakistan is offering fully funded master’s scholarships in five climate and environment programmes. Here is who qualifies, what each programme suits, and exactly how to apply before 18 November 2026.

- Pakistani nationality
- Age 28 or under at the time of application
- 4-year bachelor’s degree (BS, 16 years), or currently in your 4th year, from an HEC-recognised university
- CGPA of at least 3.0 / 4.0
- Gap of 2 years or less after your bachelor’s
- Willing to create content for Campus France Pakistan during your studies
Selection looks at academic excellence, the quality of your statement of purpose and your English. French is a plus but not required. A partnership between your Pakistani university and the French institution helps, and the Embassy values gender balance and representation from every province: women are strongly encouraged to apply.

Only these five degrees are eligible. Two of them need a second application on the school’s own website, or your file will be rejected.
MSc Process and Bioprocess Engineering – Project Management for Environmental & Energy Engineering
A 100% English-taught engineering master with 3 semesters of courses and a 5–6 month internship. Suits chemical, process, environmental, energy and mechanical engineering graduates.

All courses in English. Needs 4 years of higher education (240 ECTS-equivalent), so a 4-year BS fits. Suits chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, polymer and paper/pulp backgrounds.

Research-oriented, with a major/minor in Agronomy or Food Science & Nutrition. Suits agriculture, food science, nutrition, biology and environmental science graduates.

Needs a solid base in micro and macroeconomics, statistics/econometrics and mathematics. Suits BS Economics, BBA with strong quantitative courses and finance graduates. M2 includes a mobility semester abroad, which the scholarship does not fund, so confirm this with Lille before you choose it.

How to apply for France Excellence Pakistan
Pick your programme(s)
Match your degree to the list above. You can list up to 7 programmes on Etudes en France, but only these five count for the scholarship.
Prepare your documents
Passport (valid 18+ months after the intake), photo, SSC and HSSC (IBCC-attested preferred), BS degree or latest transcript (HEC-attested preferred), CV, experience letters, a gap letter if over 6 months, and an English certificate.
Submit on Etudes en France
Choose the programmes in the catalogue and write a strong motivation for each one in the platform field. The status must read “Submitted / Soumis”. Campus France Pakistan guide ↗
IMT Atlantique or INP Pagora? Apply on their site too
Submit the school’s own application at imt-atlantique.fr/apply or Grenoble INP’s form. Only applications on both platforms are eligible.
Pay the PKR 30,000 fee
Only after the payment request email. Winners can ask for it to be reimbursed.

Results, visa and departure
Universities publish results by 30 April 2027. The call lists scholarship results for May. Then apply for your student visa at the French Consulate in Islamabad through AEG.

How to write a winning motivation
🌍 Show the climate link
Name a real problem in Pakistan (floods, water stress, air quality, food security) and explain how this programme prepares you to work on it.
🎯 Be programme-specific
Mention two or three courses, labs or the internship of that exact programme. Generic letters are a common weakness.
🧪 Prove your background
Final-year project, research, internships or publications that connect your degree to the master’s.
🔁 Plan to return and contribute
Describe the role you want in Pakistan after graduating. The Embassy funds future change-makers.

Rules to know before you accept

Mistakes that cost students the scholarship
Applying on one platform
For IMT Atlantique and INP Pagora, Etudes en France alone is not enough.
Waiting until 18 November
Attestation takes time and the platform gets slow near the deadline. Submit a week early.
Paying the fee too early
Pay PKR 30,000 only after the payment request, with the correct reference.
One letter for all programmes
Write a separate, specific motivation for each choice.

What is the France Excellence Pakistan scholarship 2027?
A fully funded master’s scholarship from the Embassy of France in Pakistan, run with Campus France Pakistan, for Pakistani students in five climate and environment programmes in France. It covers tuition, a monthly living allowance, a return flight, visa and Etudes en France fees, and social security.
What is the deadline for France Excellence Pakistan 2027?
18 November 2026, the closing date of the Etudes en France candidature campaign. Late applications are not eligible.
Who is eligible?
Pakistani nationals aged 28 or under at the time of application, with a 4-year bachelor’s (or in the 4th year) from an HEC-recognised university with at least 3.0/4.0 CGPA, and a gap of no more than 2 years after the bachelor’s.
Do I need IELTS for France Excellence Pakistan?
The call says your level of English is taken into account but does not state a minimum score. Campus France Pakistan asks for an IELTS or other English certificate in the Etudes en France file, so upload your best English proof.
Do I need to speak French?
No. French is an asset but not required, and selected students get free French classes before departure.
How much does it cost to apply?
The Etudes en France fee is PKR 30,000. It is reimbursed on request only if you win the scholarship.
Can I apply to other programmes too?
Yes. Etudes en France lets you choose up to 7 programmes, but only the five listed programmes are eligible for this scholarship.
Is there an interview?
The call does not mention a scholarship interview, but every Etudes en France applicant has a Campus France academic interview at Alliance Française in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi.
